"Oh mom," she said with exasperation, "if I farted on the course that would give you that extra second.
I don't see where it matters that much."
For Lindsey, a nearly 10 year old Shetland Sheepdog, and her human Lucinda, that
means enjoying agility competitions again. Lindsey has won almost all the competition runs she can...
she is almost finished. This is what Lucinda wanted to talk about one day last spring.
"She is incredibly healthy, strong and young," Lucinda said. "She runs perfect courses almost every time, but if she could just get her speed up in competition she could win it and be finished. In 'jumpers' she only needs an extra second!"
After listening patiently to her mom talk, Lindsey chimed in...
"Oh mom," she said with exasperation, "if I farted on the course that would give you that extra second. I don't see where it matters that much!"
Lindsey shares her mom and her home with companion Danny (pictured in front above). Like his older sister, Danny is a winning agility dog, too.
If only we humans could remember that a day spent running and jumping is a day well spent.
