Dear Family and Friends:

"We would like to thank everyone for the beautiful messages of love and support you've sent to us these past days. Mostly we would like to thank you for the love and blessings that you sent to Harry. With the help of his vet, he crossed over peacefully at home on Friday, 20 November, 2009. He is so very missed.

"In a heartbeat we would subject ourselves to this awful grief all over again because Harry taught us much about unconditional love, about herd and especially about Middle Pig Syndrome. He has made our lives richer.

"We all have no doubt that our tears will turn to smiles whenever we think of him or speak his name. These things just take time, and we all thank you also for being there for us. Your love and friendship, like Harry's, is truly appreciated by us all.

"Today, as we gather together for Thanksgiving, bowing our heads to give thanks for all the blessings bestowed upon us, we will think of you — as we give thanks for Harry."

Love,
Colleen, Wayne and the whole Nicholson Herd (two-leggers included).

Dear friends and family,

Today we have learned that our beautiful friend, Harry Swinedell, has begun his journey to Rainbow Bridge.

X-rays today show that his prideful potbelly is filled with liver cancer, so this Friday his vet will come to us to help him on his way.

Although we suspected something like this was happening to him, it is still hard to hear it spoken out loud. So we write this to you because speaking it is too hard to do, and I know that you understand. These next few days we will celebrate with Harry, and his herd, his time with us... from 4 weeks old to 18 years, 3 months. We are so appreciative of this time together.

We believe that life goes on and that there is a beautiful place filled with loved ones gone on before us who will be there to greet Harry, welcoming him back home. We'd like to ask you that while you are thinking of him today, that you will send him love and blessings and beautiful pictures of what you believe Heaven holds for us all.

Our tears and grief are great, but we are greater beings for have shared this lifetime with Harry.

Love,
Colleen & Wayne
